DmC: Devil May Cry is an action-adventure hack and slashes video game. The game was developed by Ninja Theory, published by Capcom, and released in 2013.

It is a reboot of the Devil May Cry series created by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and released on PlayStation 2. The game features a different main character named Dante. With different abilities and gameplay mechanics from the previous games.
The game received mixed reviews upon release. Some critics praised its story and characters, while others found its combat system that could have been more refined and more enjoyable. A sequel titled DmC 2: Devil May Cry was released in 2019.
Gameplay
The player controls Dante as he battles demons that have escaped from Limbo to the human world of Los Angeles. Dante can use his twin pistols, Ebony & Ivory, or his sword Rebellion to attack enemies up close or at a distance with various combos and finishing moves.
He can also use multiple other weapons found throughout the game. Such as scythes, axes, and gauntlets. In addition, Dante can perform acrobatic moves such as wall-running, jumping off walls, swinging from poles to reach new areas, or evading enemy attacks.
